A Lifelong Passion
Growing up in New Jersey, I was introduced to fly fishing by my father at a young age. This early exposure sparked a lifelong commitment to the sport. My journey took me to San Diego, where I pursued a maritime career, earning my 100-ton license and rising to the rank of captain aboard a long-range boat.
Expertise Born from Experience
As captain, I explored the southern bight, Baja, the Sea of Cortez, and beyond, accumulating invaluable experience that I now bring to Pacific Rover LLC. I’ve also led charter trips to destinations in Mexico, Washington, British Columbia, Hawaii, and Alaska, fostering lasting relationships and sharing the joy of fishing with clients, friends, and family.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Kyle’s love for fishing began at a very young age when he started fly fishing with his father. This early immersion set the stage for a lifelong commitment to the sport. His journey led him to San Diego in his early 20s, where he climbed to the rank of captain aboard a long-range boat, acquiring his 100-ton license. This achievement marked a significant milestone in his maritime career, further solidifying his expertise.
As captain, Kyle explored the southern bight and the waters around Baja to the Sea of Cortez, providing him with a wealth of experience that he now brings to Pacific Rover LLC. In 2021, Kyle and his family moved to Washington state to make a lifelong dream of fishing and living in the Pacific Northwest a reality.

The choice of the Dragonfly for our company logo holds deep personal significance rooted in the rich fabric of cultural beliefs and familial connections. Across many civilizations and cultures, there exists a shared belief that departed loved ones revisit us in the form of nature’s creatures. While some associate this phenomenon with butterflies or hummingbirds, in my family, the Dragonfly has always been the messenger. Frequently spotted near serene bodies of water, Dragonflies captivate with their graceful flips and delicate fluttering. Their tendency to perch delicately on the tips of fly rods or other objects adds to their mystique. With their large, inquisitive eyes seemingly peering into one’s soul before swiftly darting away, Dragonflies embody a sense of spiritual connection and transient beauty. The inclusion of the Dragonfly in Pacific Rovers’ logo pays homage to this cherished belief and honors the enduring legacy of my family’s connection to fly fishing and the serenity found in nature’s embrace.
